I was 2 hours into a 3 hour walk when I found $50 on the pavement.

My mind went from rest to unrest.
–> Do I leave it?
–> Do I take it?
–> If I take it, what do I do with it?
After much thought, I took it.
A part of me felt that I was taking something that wasn’t mine (which is true).
A part of me felt that I could do some good with it (also true). I listened to this part.
Now with $50 in my wallet, I had a problem.
I had no idea what to do with it!
–> Should I pay for someone’s meal?
–> Should I pay for someone’s petrol?
–> Should I put it in someone’s letter box?
I surrendered to the blind faith that when the opportunity came, I would know.

The opportunity came 2 days later.
6:09am at a PETROL STATION!
I had finished my morning workout and I needed to pump petrol.
As I walked to the cashier, I saw another lady pumping petrol.
When I saw her face, I immediately knew that that she was getting ‘my’ $50.
After I paid for my petrol, I gave the cashier the $50 note.
“I would like to contribute for that lady’s petrol, please.”
I walked away and didn’t look back (exploding boat action movie style).
I hope that $50 made that lady’s day.
It made mine 🙂
Much love to you and of course, myself.

Chapter 9 of my book #DoHappy is about Kindness.
Kindness helps AT LEAST 2 people.
The person receiving the kindness (i.e. random lady pumping petrol).
The person giving the kindness (i.e. random dude paying for a lady’s petrol with money he found on the pavement).

If you want a copy of the book, buy it here.

Praise for Do Happy:
“I am almost finished. I am honestly loving it. I LOVE how you have made it practical as well. I have just finished reading about the pressure testing and getting used to being uncomfortable. I am going to definitely do more to be uncomfortable.” – Happy reader 🙂
